How far in advance can/should I order?
We typically start accepting orders about 3 months in advance. We request a minimum of 2 weeks notice for preparation. (It doesn’t hurt to ask if it’s less than 2 weeks away, but it is less likely to be accommodated!)
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
Cancellations and refund work as listed below. (We understand things are sometimes completely out of our hands, and that there are occasionally special circumstances.)
30 days notice is required to receive a full refund.
Cancelling prior to 2 weeks before event date will incur a 25% cancellation fee. (75% refund will be given.)
No refund will be given within 2 weeks of event. (Prepping for your order has already begun during this time.)
How do I place an order?
You can request an order HERE.
How will I know if my order has been confirmed?
We will respond to your request within 72 hours (typically much sooner!). Check your spam/junk if you have not received a reply! Within that response we will let you know if we are able to fulfill your order, give an initial quote, and ask any questions about items that require further discussion or clarification. At this point an invoice will be emailed to you. You will be required to pay the invoice in full within 48 hours to secure your spot on our calendar.
Upon completion your order will be confirmed!
Where are the cookies made?
We prepare cookies in a home kitchen under the Chicago Cottage Food Operation Law. We are a licensed business and certified to prepare food in this manner. We have access to a commercial kitchen when needed.
How big are the cookies?
Cookies range between 3-4” in size.
Do you make cookies for people with dietary or allergy restrictions?
The short answer is no. We bake in a kitchen where nuts, eggs, and gluten are present.
The long answer is that we do offer a gluten sensitive option. There is no direct presence of wheat in this product and we do our absolute best to keep any exposure to a minimum. HOWEVER cross contamination is always possible. Please keep this in mind if you choose the gluten sensitive option. We do not offer a vegan cookie at this time.
how are the cookies packaged?
Every cookie is individually heat sealed for freshness and placed tidily in a box that contains an ingredient label. We also offer the option for cookies to be tied with a ribbon to be given as favors. This option is offered at an additional $6/dozen.
How long do the cookies stay fresh?
Typically our cookies stay fresh for about two weeks when they are heat sealed; but they are best enjoyed within the first week.
Can you freeze the cookies?
You can! Decorated sugar cookies can be safely frozen for 2-3 months. They need to remain in their heat sealed package and carefully arranged in an airtight container. To thaw them, remove from the freezer and leave in the sealed container on the counter until they have been brought to room temperature. (A minimum of 4 hours.) Opening the container before it reaches room temperature can cause condensation to build up inside of the heat sealed package and will ruin the icing.
Do you ship or deliver?
At this time we are not shipping. When it can be accommodated cookies can be delivered for an additional fee. All local pick-up is in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood.
